7 Quarantine Wardrobe Essentials to Maximize Comfort This Fall Season

Given we will all be continuing to work-from-home (and pretty much do everything from home) this fall season, I’m re-jigging my fall closet to include plenty of more quarantine wardrobe essentials that are heavy on cozy knits and loungewear sets. While I want to be comfortable, I also don’t want to throw fashion out the window, either. These selects below have me feeling put together and stylish, even if no one will see the looks besides my own husband!

Turtleneck Sweaters

Transitional autumnal dressing is all about sweaters, and turtlenecks offer the cozy-factor, plus they can look very chic. Throw on a pair of jeans and it is consistently the easiest and most stylish approach to dressing.

Jewellery

It may feel like an unnecessary step, but adding your favourite piece to an otherwise basic outfit will spark plenty of joy. I promise that when you pass by a mirror in your home and catch a glint of a pair of hoops or a bracelet catching light in the sun, you will definitely smile.

Classic Sweatshirt

It’s time we elevate our “sweats” given we’re in month 9 of lockdown. I love a classic sweatshirt, and so many brands have taken this casual look and upped the ante with this (now) classic quarantine look with softer textures and style-forward patterns.

Leggings

We have spent many hours in leggings, haven’t we? So why not opt for a pair that is not only mandatorily comfortable, but also less about spandex and more about style? Alo makes some fabulous pairs that are dressier in feel with high waistlines and no side seams.

Luxe Loungewear

Call it athleisure or loungewear, but we are certainly doing plenty of lounging these days, so best to make it feel as luxe as possible. I gravitate towards neutral, earthy tones because they never go out of style, and you can mix and match plenty of your separates with the pants or top, too.

Low-top sneakers

White sneakers have become one of the biggest staples in fashion over the past several seasons, and with good reason. They go with everything and are endlessly versatile.

Shawl Cardigan

A cozy fire, your special someone, and a shawl cardigan: That is a fall afternoon I can get behind! Shawl cardigans are not your grandpa’s cardigans, but they do have a nod to nostalgia, which I love. Go for slightly oversized and wear all season long.
